I found this drawer unit at an estate sale today. I love it. It has bookshelves on each side and the top drawer front opens flat to make a desk. I've been needing bookshelves badly, so I bought it. With a little furniture polish it looks great!I need more mirrors for my wall, but it looks good for now! It only took two years, but our house is finally starting to feel like home.
And now I'm going to watch "Cold Mountain." I finished the book last week, so now I feel obligated to watch the movie, even though I know it will depress me.

I love how that turned out! That drawer unit is great! I liked Cold Mountain (haven't read the book) but it is sad.
I HATED Cold Mountain (movie). I hope you enjoyed it more than Joe and I did. I LOVE your red wall. I hope that you'll invite us over to see your house someday. (is that rude?)
Talsie--lol no it's not rude! We've been trying to figure out a good time to invite you guys over. Last month we had something almost every weekend!
The movie was OK... too many nudey scenes that I had to fast forward through, but i read the book so I knew when they were coming (and much less dirty in the book!)
I didn't really enjoy the book, and I didn't much like the movie. But i felt obligated to see how they brought it to life.
