Busy Busy!

We've been really busy around here! I've been busy transferring all of my files onto my new (to me) OC MacBook Pro! I love it. It's so much faster than my trusty old Powerbook, which I'll probably be selling it on eBay in the near future.

But the exciting part was that I had just saved up the money to buy myself a new MacBook, so now I am using some of that money to get my wedding ring repaired! I keep having small diamonds fall out of my ring--it's under warranty to be repaired, but they never really did a good job and they'd fall out again. Finally I took it to an independent guy my boss recommended and he has been FANTASTIC. I can't wait to get it back.

In other news, this week Dirk got a new truck. A NEW new truck--a 2009 F150 crew cab. It's his company truck, but he got to choose what he wanted, even the color! It's all decked out with all the fancy features, voice recognition, satellite radio and everything. We both kind of just stare at it not knowing what to do with something this nice. His job has been such a blessing. They have been so good to Dirk, and he truly loves working there.

The next three weeks will be crazy! My family is coming in this weekend. My sister and brother in law are coming with their girls, along with my parents. Jamie is bringing me tons of plants for my back yard, and she is going to help me plant them. Gardening in her thing and she's going to tell me what to put where. I'm clueless.

After that we are leaving for an official VACATION!!!!!! We're going to South Carolina and Georgia. Charleston, Savannah, Atlanta, etc. We've heard from a lot of people that it's just beautiful country. I'm really excited. I want to see the civil war battlefields and the plantations. We bought a new camera for the trip, and I just ordered a 4 GB camera card for it. I plan on taking lots of photos.

And it just so happens that the CUBS will be playing Atlanta while we are in town... so we got some PRIME seats. I bought a season ticket holder's seats at stubhub.com, right behind the Cubs dugout!!!! These will be the best seats I've ever sat in at a major league baseball game. This is going to be good. If only the Cubs would stop playing so poorly..... and most of the good guys are injured right now. I hope they come back before we get there! I hope I hope.

Hmm that's all for now. Maybe I'll post pics of my new back yard after this weekend.......

Size of schauzers but they're cattle...

I love this commercial. Why? Because they give some love to schnauzers everywhere!

I'm sure it's not politically correct, but the little cows idea is just adorable.
